To make sure we provide you with the highest level of expertise, each dietitian on our team is a specialist in their area. 

When you first contact us, we will match you with a dietitian on our team who is the best ‘fit’ for you. This ensures that they are experienced in the field of nutrition that you need support with, to make sure you get the appropriate care. We also consider other areas such as language barriers or cultural choices, to find someone that you fit well with and feel comfortable working alongside. Our nutritionist in London will do everything possible to make sure you achieve your goals efficiently and sustainably.

To get started, you can book a free 20 minute discovery call with our clinical dietitian manager who will answer any questions you may have prior to your initial consultation, she will explain how we can help you reach your goals and she will match you with the appropriate dietitian on our team based on your goals. Frequently Asked Questions

This will depend on a few factors, such as your goals, location and overall preference. Many of our clients choose to have an online consultation due to convenience of not needing to travel. However, an in-person consultation will allow you to meet your dietitian face to face, as well as having certain measurements taken, such as body fat and muscle mass, using a Bioelectrical impedance analysis machine.

You will be sent two online forms to complete before your appointment. One is a pre-assessment questionnaire, which will include a short number of questions related to the reasons of your appointment, as well as medical history and any other relevant information the dietitian may need before the session. You may like to also send any other information that you feel may be relevant, such as a 1-3 days of food diary and latest blood test results.

A range of health insurances will cover a certain number of consultations with the dietitian. You will need to enquire with your specific health insurance to check. We regularly have clients who are covered by Bupa, Aviva or WPA. Not all of our dietitians are covered by health insurance, but you can contact us to find out more.

This largely depends on the goals and the changes you are working on with your dietitian. Some clients will notice changes such as weight loss and fat loss within 1 week. Others will see a significant improvement in energy levels and mood  in just a few weeks. Gut symptoms and gut health can be improved within 2-4 weeks. If you are looking for support with diabetes or cholesterol levels, or kidney health, these changes can often take at least 1-3 months to notice any significant differences.

Working with a dietitian or nutritionist can help you better understand and change habits that are preventing you from reaching your health goals. It is worth seeing a specialist if you are struggling on your own, as well as ensuring that you are making changes in a sustainable and safe approach. A private dietitian will often have a higher level of qualification compared to that of a nutritionist or nutritional therapist. This is because dietitians are nutrition professionals that have a requirement to be governed and regulated by law, unlike the latter two. This means that to use the dietitian title, the person needs to be registered with a professional body called the Health & Care professions council (HCPC) and follow their code of ethics to adhere to the highest standard. To be eligible, dietitians must have completed a minimum of a bachelors’ degree (BSc Hons) in Nutrition & Dietetics, or postgraduate study.

The title nutritionist is not protected, so anyone may call themselves a nutritionist, even someone without any sort of qualification! It is best to check that a nutritionist has a minimum of degree level knowledge.

A nutritional therapist again is not a protected title, and they may use complementary medicine to provide recommendations on dietary and lifestyle changes, to prevent health issues. However, complementary medicine is not yet recognised as a valid treatment in conventional medicine as they are not based on scientific evidence. There is no specific qualification that is required to be a nutritional therapist, though some degrees are available to study.

Dietitians are the only nutrition professionals who are trained to assess, diagnose and provide treatment regarding dietary and health problems within individuals, as well as providing specific advice tailored to certain health conditions.
