Maia Lockhart

Registered Dietitian

‘I’m Maia, a registered Dietitian and member of the Health and Care Professions Council and a member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA), and I specialise in women’s health.

Having worked in various NHS trusts previously, I realised there was a real gap and a need for more of a focus on Women’s health within Dietetics services. After setting up and running a successful women’s specific nutrition clinic within the NHS, I spoke with hundreds of women and helped them to take control over their own health.

I am of both Russian and Pakistani heritage, and I am passionate about providing culturally sensitive care, being mindful and sensitive to cultural identity, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviours. Some topics within women’s health can feel a bit taboo or uncomfortable to discuss, and I always try to navigate this in the most comfortable way for you.

Women are not always listened to within the healthcare space, or their symptoms or issues are made to feel unimportant. At the core of my practice lies the belief that each individual is the expert of their own life. Through compassion and collaboration, in our sessions I strive to create a supportive environment where you feel empowered to explore your unique nutritional goals.’
